Karnataka SSLC Math Important Questions 2026 For 1 Mark
In the very first section of the question paper, you will find MCQs along with one-word questions. There will be 8 MCQs and 8 one-word questions included in the question paper. The second section of the question paper consists of very short answer-type questions for 2 marks each. Internal choices will be available in this section, so make sure to read the instructions very carefully before answering. You are required to answer 8 questions from this section. Question 2: The difference between two positive numbers is 26, and if one number is three times the other, then find the numbers.

Question 4: Find the distance of the point ( 6, 8 ) from the origin.

Question 6: In triangle ABC, DE || BC. AD = x, BD = x – 2, AE = x + 2, and CE = x – 1. Find the value of x and hence find AD:DB.

Karnataka SSLC Math Important Questions 2026 For 3 Marks
The third section of the question paper consists of short-answer type questions for 3 marks each. You are required to answer 9 questions from this section. Internal choices will be available in this situation. Check out important questions for 3 marks below:
Question 1: Find the zeroes of the polynomial P ( x ) = x ( x – 4 ) and verify the relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients.
Question 2: The length of the minute hand on a clock is 14 cm. Find the area swept by the minute hand in 10 minutes.
Question 3: α and β are the zeroes of a quadratic polynomial. If α + β = – 3 and αβ = 2, then find the quadratic polynomial and also find the value of (α–β).
Question 4: If the points A ( 4, 5 ), B ( 7, y ), C ( 4, 3 ), and D ( x, 2 ) are the vertices of a parallelogram, then find the values of x and y.
Question 5: In a scalene triangle ABC, draw a line parallel to BC. Let this line intersect AB at D and AC at E. If DE: BC = 2:5, AD = 2 cm, AE = 3 cm, and DE = 4 cm, then find the perimeter of the triangle ABC.
Question 6: A vessel is in the form of an inverted cone. Its height is 8 cm, and the radius of its top, which is open, is 5 cm. It is filled with water up to the brim. When lead shots, each of which is a sphere of radius 0·5 cm, are dropped into the vessel, one-fourth of the water flows out. Find the number of lead shots dropped in the vessel.

In the second last section, you will find long answer-type questions for 4 marks each. According to the latest question paper available on the official website of KSEAB, you are required to answer four questions from this section. There will be internal choices present in this section. Question 1: The maximum volume of a closed cylindrical tank is 6160 m3. The diameter of its circular base is 28 m. Find the cost of painting its surface at the rate of Rs. 5 per square metre.
Question 2: “If one angle of a triangle is equal to one angle of the other triangle and the sides including these angles are proportional, then prove that the two triangles are similar.”
Question 3: A toy is made up of a cylinder having a diameter of 10 cm and a height of 20 cm, and it is joined with a hemisphere of the same diameter at one end and a cone of equal diameter and a slant height of 13 cm at the other end. Find the surface area of the toy.
Question 4: The ratio of the 11th and 8th terms of an arithmetic progression is 3:2. Find the ratio of the sum of the first 5 terms to the sum of the first 21 terms.

The Karnataka SSLC Math theory paper will be conducted for 80 marks, and the remaining marks will be allotted for the internal assessment. A total of 38 questions will be included in the question paper.
Yes, you will find internal choices in every section of the question paper except for the very first section and the very last section. The very first section of the question paper consists of objective-type questions, and the very last section consists of one very long answer-type question. Some minor changes can be expected in the question paper format.
The last two sections of the Karnataka SSLC Math Paper consist of long-answer-type questions and very long-answer-type questions, respectively. You are required to answer four long-answer type questions, followed by one very long answer type question, which will carry 4 and 5 marks respectively.
According to the new reform adopted by KSEAB, you are required to score at least 30% marks in each subject to pass. In Karnataka SSLC Math, you are required to score 24 marks out of the total 80 allotted to the theory paper. You are also required to get at least 206 marks out of the total 625 marks allotted to SSLC to pass.
You can find at least 8 MCQs in the Karnataka SSLC Math Paper; however, there can be a few changes made to the latest paper pattern. Each MCQ will carry one mark.
