CTET 2025 Marks Normalisation

The normalisation technique will be used to determine CTET exam scores. The Central Board of Secondary Education has updated the candidates who took the CTET 2025 exam. The cutoff scores rely on several different factors. The CBSE will perform the normalisation on several scales. By using a balanced set of criteria to evaluate the applicants, the CTET normalisation procedure will guarantee that the results of the CTET are fair. For instance, it's likely that Candidate A, who participated in Shift 1, considered the exam simpler than Candidate B, who participated in Shift 2 and who received a somewhat more challenging set of CTET question papers. This can ultimately result in Candidate B receiving fewer marks.

CTET Salary 2025

Many students often wonder about their salary package after qualifying for CTET. The average CTET salary that is offered to the candidates is somewhere between 35,000 to 45,000. The net salary also includes the House Rent Allowance (HRA). The candidates who clear the CTET exam get a stable job as a teacher in government schools. The starting salary of such candidates is around 35,000, which increases with time and when they get permanent. After qualifying for CTET, the candidates are eligible to apply for a Teacher throughout any Government school in India.

CTET Certificate Validity

CTET Certificate, once issued, will be valid for a lifetime. This means that a candidate who once qualifies the CTET exam will be eligible to apply for the teacher recruitment exams opened up by the government for various government schools in India. Earlier, the CTET certificate had a validity of 7 years, but the recent amendments made by the Ministry of Education of India extended the CTET certificate validity from 7 years to a lifetime. That's quite good news among the aspirants who wish to become government teachers. Moreover, if a qualified candidate feels that they/can improve their CTET score, they can reappear in the next CTET exam. If the candidate secures more marks than the previous attempt, he/she would be issued a new CTET 2025 certificate.

Options to Explore other than CTET Exam

If the applicants fail to clear the CTET exam, they need not worry. We have listed some alternative options that the candidates can explore if they fail to clear the CTET exam.

  • Option 1: - The CTET exam is conducted twice a year, and the candidates who failed to clear one session of the CTET can start preparing for the next session of the CTET exam. For example, if the candidates fail to clear the CTET exam in the June or July session, he/ she can start preparing for the December session of the CTET exam. Since the candidates will have an idea of the mistakes they committed in the previous session of CTET, he/ she will prepare for the upcoming session of CTET exam accordingly. Therefore, the chances of clearing the CTET exam in the subsequent attempt are high.
  • Option 2: - Various states in India conduct state-level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the candidates who are aspiring for a career in teaching. Such candidates can apply for the state-level exam. However, TET in various states is not conducted twice a year despite the mandatory rule. State-level TET exam is confined only to a particular state, and the candidate who clears the state-level TET exam will be eligible to become a teacher only in his/her state. Some of the state-level TET exams are AP TET, TNTET, OTET, OSSTET, Kerala TET, Assam TET, etc.

Career Opportunities after CTET Exam 2025

Candidates with a CTET Certificate can apply for all Central Government Teaching jobs like KVS, NVS Army Teacher, ERDO, etc. Without a CTET Certificate, candidates will not be able to apply for Central government teaching jobs. Candidates who will qualify for the CTET exam will be able to teach Classes 1 to 8 in the schools affiliated to the CBSE. After clearing the CTET exam 2025, candidates can apply for teacher recruitment in the following schools:

  • Central Government Schools- KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.

Shivangi Ahirwar, Content Team

Dear Student,

Due to the CTET normalisation process, there is a chance that your marks may be increased or decreased. Due to various factors, including differences in difficulty levels across different test sessions, the normalisation process helps ensure fairness and equity among all candidates. As a result, there might be fluctuations in your final marks; they could potentially increase or decrease depending on the overall performance of the candidates in your specific testing group. This means that if you perform exceptionally well compared to others, your marks may see an upward adjustment.
