AP DEECET 2025 Exam Pattern: The AP DEECET exam pattern is released along with the official notification for the entrance test. Students preparing for the exam must familiarise themselves with the structure, sections included, weightage, etc, to prepare effectively for the exam.
In line with the official AP DEECET pattern, the exam is divided into 2 parts. Part A and Part B comprise 60 and 40 marks respectively. It is important to know the AP DEECET syllabus as it highlights the major subjects to focus on during preparation. The conducting body does not provide an exhaustive syllabus; however, by checking the outline, exam takers can get an idea of the core themes. The questions in Part A are based on State's new syllabus for Classes 6 to 10. For Part B, the topics are designed according to the 12th standard syllabus of the State.

The sections included in Part A, according to the AP DEECET exam pattern 2025, are Teaching Aptitude, General Knowledge, English, Telugu, Opted Language (out of Telugu/ Tamil/ Urdu/ English), Mathematics, General Science, and Social Studies.
4 sections comprise Part B as per the AP DEECET 2025 exam pattern, which consist of Mathematics, Physical Science, Bio-Science, and Social Studies. Out of the available options, entrants have to attempt one segment. While selecting the subject for Part B, they must check the eligibility criteria.
AP DEECET exam pattern is significant as it allows the exam takers to understand the structure of the test, the number of divisions, weightage per component, marking scheme, question type, etc. Knowing the test pattern is crucial to strategise the preparation plan and do well in the examination.
Negative marking is not applicable as per the AP DEECET exam pattern. No marks will be deducted in case of inaccurate answers by the examinees.
4 segments, such as Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, and Opted Language, out of Telugu/ Tamil/ Urdu/ English have the highest weightage for Part A per the AP DEECET exam pattern. All of these areas are worth 10 marks each.
All components of Part B, such as Mathematics, Physical Science, Bio-Science, and Social Studies, have equal weightage. Each subject is worth 40 marks.
The marking scheme for AP DEECET indicates that for accurate answers, 1 mark will be awarded. For not attempting any question or for incorrect responses, no marks will be subtracted.
100 questions are there as per the AP DEECET 2025 exam pattern. Part A has 60 questions and Part B has 40 questions, respectively.
AP DEECET has questions of a multiple-choice type. For each question, 4 probable options will be provided, out of which 1 answer has to be selected by the student.
