AP EDCET 2026 - Dates, Application, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus

AP EDCET 2026: AP EDCET 2026 application process is expected to begin in April 2026. The entrance exam will tentatively be held in the first week of June 2026. 

The entrance test is held annually to shortlist candidates for the 2-year B.Ed course at participating colleges. The total duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours and will be held in online mode. It will have three parts. Part A has General English, and Part B includes General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. Part C has a Methodology segment, which will consist of Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, and English. Out of the subjects available for Part C, the exam takers will have to select one.  

Students who have completed their BA, B.Sc, BCA, B.Com, BBM, BE or B.Tech can apply for the AP EDCET examination. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET is 19 years, and there is no maximum age limit for applying.

Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test or AP EDCET, as it is popularly known, will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Amravati.

The students appearing for the entrance test can fill out the AP EDCET 2026 application form in online mode from the official website. 

• Candidates can pay the application fee online.
• Students can also check the success/ failure status of the fee that has been paid.
• Candidates must fill out the application form carefully with all the necessary details. Verify the details given and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• The candidates can take a printout of the application form for future reference.

The candidates who meet the AP EDCET 2026 eligibility criteria can appear for the examination. To be eligible for the exam, students have to meet the following requirements, nationality, academic qualification, age, etc. 

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Following are the national eligibility measures for AP EDCET 2026 aspiring students:

• Candidates have to be Indian Nationals.
• Must meet Local/Non-Local status criteria as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Academic Qualification

Below we have mentioned the academic qualifications to appear for AP EDCET 2026.

• The students while submitting the AP EDCET 2026 Application form must have cleared or appeared for their final year BA/B.Sc/BBM/B.Com/BCA examination. 
• At the time of admission candidates have to provide their pass certificate.
• General category students must score at least 50% marks either in their Bachelor’s degree and/or in their Master’s degree or in 5 years of a relevant integrated course. 
• The Reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) students must score a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. 
• BE/B.Tech candidates are also eligible to apply for AP EDCET 2026 provided they have studied Mathematics or Physics. 

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Students applying for AP EDCET 2026 must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1, 2026. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET 2026 is 19 years while there is no upper age limit. 

AP EDCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Choice of Subject under Part C

Below given are the eligibility criteria for the choice of subject under Part C of the AP EDCET 2026 exam.

The seat reservation for AP EDCET 2026 is based on the rules and regulations prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh State Government. 

AP EDCET 2026 is a 2-hour duration exam comprising 150 multiple-choice questions. As per the AP EDCET 2026 exam pattern, there are four sections in the AP EDCET 2026 examination, namely General English, General Knowledge, Teaching Aptitude and Methodology, divided into three parts. 

The conducting body will issue AP EDCET 2026 results on the official website within a few weeks after the exam. Those who qualify the admission test will be eligible for the AP EDCET 2026 counselling process. Once the result link is activated, they have to enter the registration number and the hall ticket number. They also need to download the AP EDCET rank card by providing the required details.
