If you want to do B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology, without giving an entrance exam and keeping the fees low, many government and private colleges admit students solely based on Class 12 marks.

Government colleges (very affordable, short merit-based process):

  • Dyal Singh College, Delhi (DU) – B.Sc. Zoology Hons, fees around ₹9,000–₹50,000 for full course. No separate entrance exam.
  • Sri Venkateswara College or DDUC, Delhi University – Fees roughly ₹24k–37k, merit-based admission, no extra test.
  • Government colleges in Kerala or West Bengal (like Government Arts College Coimbatore ₹6 K/year, or Government College Kullu ₹9 K/year) – minimal fees, direct admission by cutoff marks.

Private colleges (low-cost):

  • Scottish Church College, Kolkata or other similar colleges accept students purely on board marks.
  • St. Xavier’s (Ranchi, Jaipur) – some branches allow direct admission if you meet the cutoff.
  • Low-cost private colleges in states like UP, WB – many offer Zoology Hons around ₹12k–18k/year.
