Dear student,

With a score of 221/300 in Applied Psychology, you are already in a decent position, with respect to central universities which primarily use the CUET PG score for admissions.

Getting a confirmed seat in Hyderabad university or Pondicherry University or Karnataka University depends on some factors:

~Cut-off scores: They can fluctuate year on year based on the difficulty level of the exam, number of test takers, and number of seats available ~Category: Reservation categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD) have lower cut-offs than the General category ~University-Specific Counselling:Once the CUET PG results are declared, every university conducts its own online registration and counselling process. You must apply separately to each university even if you have a CUET PG score.

Now let’s look if you are eligible for admission to M.Sc in the mentioned Universities:

A Graduate degree with 50% marks in Psychology (cognate subject). 45% for SC/ST/Category-I. Admission is based on 50% qualifying exam (Graduation) + 50% entrance examN.A. However, PG courses generally require a minimum qualifying score in their entrance exam (e.g., 10 marks out of 50 for General category in PGEE

Note* - The University of Mysore conducts its own Post Graduate Entrance Exam (PGEE) for all PG courses. It also acepts CUET PG scores. Please confirm Applied Psychology programme admissions 2025 directly from their official website as well.

Your Chances: If University of Mysore accepts CUET PG, your 221/300 would likely be a strong score. If they rely solely on their PGEE, your CUET PG score won't directly apply, and you'd need to perform well in their exam. Assuming that you've had a strong academic background in Bachelor's, your overall profile looks LIT.
