The Kerala SET 2025 Selection Process will begin a month after the release of the Kerala SET Result 2025. The Kerala SET 2025 July session selection process involves four stages: a written examination with two papers (General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude, and a subject-specific paper), followed by the result declaration , document verification of qualified candidates, and finally the issuance of the Kerala SET Eligibility Certificate . Only candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks (40% for General and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PH) and complete verification will receive the certificate, which is essential for applying to HSST and VHSE teaching posts in Kerala. Method of Selection for Kerala SET 2025

The selection of students for Kerala SET 2025 will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam. Based on the score obtained by the applicant, the applicant will be shortlisted.

Written Examination

• The exam was held on 24 August 2025.

It consists of two papers :

• Paper I: General Knowledge & Teaching Aptitude (common for all candidates).
• Paper II: Subject-specific paper (based on the candidate’s post-graduation subject).

Result Declaration:

• The result is expected between 23 September and 29 September 2025.
• Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks (40% for General and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PH) in both papers to be considered eligible.

Document Verification

• Qualified candidates must present their original educational certificates, ID proof, and other required documents.
• The verification process ensures that candidates meet all eligibility conditions.

Issuance of Eligibility Certificate

• After successful verification, candidates are awarded the Kerala SET Eligibility Certificate.
• This certificate is mandatory for applying to HSST and VHSE teaching posts in Kerala.

How to Obtain Kerala SET 2025 Qualifying Certificate

The applicants will have to send the qualifying certificates within one year from the date of the SET 2025 result declaration. In case of failing to do so, the applicant will have to submit a late fee of INR 500/- for the next year and INR 250/- for the subsequent years. After the verification of documents submitted by the applicant, the qualifying certificate signed by the Director of General Education will be issued to the qualified students.

In case of losing the original qualifying document issued, the applicant can also apply for a duplicate certificate by sending an application to the Director, the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. The following documents are required while applying for a duplicate qualifying certificate:

• A demand draft of INR 1000/- issued in favor of the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, payable at Thiruvananthapuram from any Nationalised Bank.

• An Affidavit worth INR 100/- stamp paper duly attested by a Notary Public/First Class Judicial Magistrate to effect that the original document of the students has been lost along with other relevant documents.

Documents Required to Obtain Kerala SET 2025 Certificate

Qualifying students will have to send all the documents to the Director, LBS Centre, Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram for the verification process. The documents which are required by the students to submit for obtaining Kerala SET 2025 certificate are:

• Hard Copy of the application form for SET 2025 downloaded from the official LBS website.

• Recognition Certificate from any of Kerala’s Universities, if applicable.

• Equivalency Certificate from any of Kerala’s universities, if applicable. 

• A photocopy of the following documents to be attested by the Gazetted Officer: 

  • Provisional/Original certificate and mark sheet for B.Ed. program.

  • Provisional/Original certificate and mark sheet for PG program.

• Original Caste/Medical certificate (valid as of the date) for students eligible for marks relaxation.
