The OCET 2025 exam pattern describes the important particulars related to the exam, like the mode of the exam, number of marks, marking scheme, etc. Haryana LEET (OCET) 2025 exam is conducted in online mode for 90 minutes. There will be multiple-choice questions in the exam for 90 marks, and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer; there is no negative marking in the exam.

Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) prescribes the OCET 2025 exam pattern and releases it along with the syllabus on the official website of the exam. As per the OCET 2025 exam pattern, there will be a total of 90 questions for 90 marks in the OCET exam 2025. There will be a total of 4 sections in the exam. Section A will have questions from mathematics, physics, chemistry, communication skills, and general awareness. There will be 8 questions from the mathematics subject, 8 questions from the physics subject, 3 questions each from chemistry, communication skills, and general awareness sections, for 1 mark each. Section B will have questions from the subject, elements of electrical engineering, elements of electronics engineering, and elements of computer engineering. Section C will have questions from the subjects, elements of mechanical engineering, elements of production engineering and manufacturing processes, and auto engineering. Section D will hold questions from civil engineering, textile engineering, chemical & printing technology, ceramic engineering, food technology, and others.
There will be only multiple-choice questions in each section in the exam, with four answers, each having only one correct answer. There is no provision for negative marking in the exam. It is very crucial for the OCET aspirants to get familiar with the exam pattern, as it briefs them about the crucial aspects of the exam, like the mode of the exam, the number of questions, the total questions asked, questions in each section.

The OCET 2025 marking scheme is determined by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). The marking scheme will remain the same for all four sections. As per the marking scheme, the candidate will be awarded one mark for each correct response, while no marks will be deducted if the candidate responds to any question. No changes will be made in case of the question left unattempted.

Candidates appearing for the exam are allowed to answer questions in any order according to their own preference. The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) will conduct the same paper for all branches of engineering, and the marking scheme will remain the same for all the sections. Candidates must note that there will be no negative marking, so they should attempt all the questions. No extra time will be allotted for the OCET exam. Candidates are thus advised to manage their timing accordingly.

There is no negative marking in the OCET exam. So it is advisable for the students to attend to all the questions in the exam without the fear of negative marking. If they are unsure about some answers, they can attend to those questions too without thinking about mark deduction.
