To be eligible for the AP EAMCET 2026, candidates must be 22 years old or younger (25 for SC/ST), be Indian nationals or OCI/PIO holders, and reside in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent, studying Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Those awaiting 10+2 results can apply but must pass the exam for their rank to be valid. The MEC stream is not eligible.

Applicants looking to apply for the AP EAMCET 2026 Exam must ensure to fulfil the AP EAPCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 specified by the conducting authorities. The detailed eligibility conditions have been explained in the table below -

Age Limit	For Engineering/Pharmacy courses, the minimum age of the candidate must be 16 years (as of December 31, 20265) There is no age limit for candidates belonging to the Reserved categories For B. Tech (Agricultural Engineering/Dairy Technology/Food Science & Technology), the minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years (as of December 31, 2026) The upper age limit for the General category is 22 years while that for SC/ST candidates is 25 years (as of December 31, 2026)
Educational Qualifications	Applicants must have passed or at least be appearing for their class 12 from the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or other vocational courses in the field of Engineering as an optional subject. Candidates qualifying for any other equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana can apply OR Candidates who have passed or are in their final year of the Diploma exam in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana are also eligible to apply
Minimum Marks	Candidates must have scored at least 45% aggregate marks in all subjects combined Candidates belonging to the Reserved category must have obtained at least 40% aggregate marks
Weightage	Candidates ranked on the basis of the AP EAMCET normalised marks (75% weightage) and 10+2 (25% weightage) in the order of merit shall be eligible for admission

Criteria 1 (Engineering)	Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as options, or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, along with a bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from the academic year 2000 onwards, or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Board of Intermediate Education. Candidates who have taken the Final Year Intermediate Examination (10+2 Pattern) and are awaiting their results may apply for AP EAPCET 2026, however, their AP EAMCET 2026 ranks will be valid only if they pass the Intermediate Examination.
Criteria 2 (Engineering)	Applicants must have completed the Diploma in Engineering examination administered by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana. Candidates who have taken the Diploma test in Engineering and are awaiting their results can register for AP EAMCET 2026, however, their rankings will be valid only if they pass the Diploma examination in Engineering.
Criteria 3 (Pharm D)	Candidates for the Pharm. D programme must have passed the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as choices, or any other examination recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana, or equivalent. Candidates who have taken the Final Year Intermediate Examination (10+2 Pattern) and are awaiting their results may apply for AP EAPCET 2026, however, their ranks will be valid only if they pass the Intermediate Examination
Aggregate Marks	The candidate must have scored at least 45% in the specified subjects considered together in the qualifying examination (40% in the case of a candidate from a reserved category)

The AP EAPCET eligibility conditions for admission to Engineering courses are as follows -

The candidate must have cleared the Higher Secondary Education (Class 10 + 2) Exam or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as core subjects and Biology as an optional subject. Those who will be appearing for the HS Exam are also eligible.
