With an OBC rank of 125 in B.Sc. Botany, your chances of getting a seat are quite good in most universities and colleges in India. Many colleges releases OBC cutoffs for B.Sc. Botany that range much higher. The cutoff OBC ranks for Botany is often higher than 400 or even higher in less competitive institutions. However, the major universities have 2nd and 3rd lists where cutoffs drop notably.

Dear student, the cutoff for BSc (Hons) Agriculture at Visva Bharati University is based on the CUET scores. Generally, the expected cutoff marks is in the range of 499-526 for the general category, 494-514 for OBC, and 435-455 for SC, and 378-400 for ST.

Since you had Maths in Class 12 (PCMB) but did not choose Maths as a subject in CUET 2025, these are the two possibilities:

1. You are academically eligible because you studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in 12th, and most universities require Maths in 12th for Physics Honours.
2. Most central universities offering BSc (Hons) in Physics require you to appear for Mathematics in CUET, along with Physics (and sometimes Chemistry), because CUET scores are used for merit calculation.

So, you may not be eligible for Physics Honours in most central universities like DU, BHU, JNU, etc. Some state/private universities or non-CUET colleges may still admit you based on Class 12 marks and your CUET Physics score alone, but they are rare for Physics Hons.

For SC category students, the minimum eligibility for admission to Visva Bharati University is simply passing the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. There is no minimum percentage required for SC candidates for BA (Hons.) in History or Political Science.

Additionally, admission to BA (Hons.) at Visva Bharati University is based on CUET UG exam. You must appear for the CUET exam and select the relevant subjects for History or Political Science during the application process
