The National Institutional Ranking Framework released the NIRF rankings for the year 2025 on September 4, on the official website, nirfindia.org. In the overall category, 17 Indian Institue of Technology (s) have made it to the list of top IIT colleges; IIT Roorkee moved up to 7th position, and IIT Indore moved up 6 places from 33rd to 27th position this year. IIT Placements 2024-25: IIT Placements for the year 2024-2025 have been conducted in two phases for all the IITs. Usually, the first phase began around December and the second phase from February to May. IIT Bombay reported an average package of approximately INR 36.9 LPA, with sectors like technology, finance, and consulting dominating recruitment. IIT Indore recorded an average salary of around INR 23.50 LPA, with top-performing BTech branches like Computer Science Engineering and Electrical Engineering having the highest averages. IIT Kharagpur recorded a Domestic Highest Package of INR 1 Crore with top recruiters like  Apple, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Uber, and Schlumberger. IIT Delhi is recorded to have offered the highest package of INR 1 Crore Per Annum at the domestic level, with more than 50 offers above INR 1 crore. Some of the top recruiters of the Top IITs in India are Microsoft, Google, Apple, Schlumberger, Qualcomm, Amazon, Flipkart, ISRO, American Express, Boston Consulting Group, Intel, etc. 

IIT Madras to offer Scholarships to JEE Advanced Qualifiers: As JEE Advanced 2025 results are now declared, the race for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) has officially begun. IIT Madras B.Tech CSE JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the IIT Madras JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff for round 1 in online mode after round 1 of JEE Advanced Seat Allotment. After every round of seat distribution, the IIT Madras B.Tech CSE JEE Advanced Cutoff 2025 will  be released. As per the official notice, the TG PGECET phase 2 counselling registration process will be concluded soon, on September 25, 2025, by the Telangana Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad. Candidates yet to participate in the counselling registration process should visit the official website- pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in before the last date. By September 25, 2025, the candidates should also complete the Phase 2 document verification process. Once the Phase 2 registration and document verification process is done, the authority will release the verified list of the eligible registered candidates on September 28, 2025. 

GATE PE 2026: The GATE Petroleum Engineering 2026 exam will be conducted tentatively in the month of February 2026. IIT Guwahati is yet to announce the GATE PE exam dates. However, the official exam dates for all papers are scheduled on February 7, 8, 14 & 15. If you are interested in taking the GATE PE 2026 exam, then you should ensure to know all the details about the exam date, syllabus, question paper, answer key etc. The exam syllabus has been issued by the authority. AP PGECET Seat Allotment 2025: The AP PGECET 2025 seat allotment will be published on September 26, 2025. The allotment will depend on candidates’ rank, options exercised during the web options, and available vacancies for postgraduate engineering courses around Andhra Pradesh. The candidates allotted seats will have to report to their allocated colleges on the scheduled dates for admission. The official website for checking the allotment and downloading the allotment letter is pgecet-sche1.aptonline. Candidates have to be very careful while following the guiding principles and also complete the self-reporting process as proof of their admission. The academic calendar for the assigned courses is scheduled to commence on September 29, 2025; therefore a prompt reporting is critical.

AP B.Arch Counselling 2025 Begins: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has started the AP B.Arch counselling registration 2025 today, September 22, 2025. The interested and the eligible candidates should visit the official website- apsche.ap.gov.in and complete the registration process on or before September 29, 2025. Candidates who have qualified for the class 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with the Biology or Chemistry or Technical Vocational Subject or IT or Computer Science or Informatics Practices or Business Studies or Engineering Graphics with at least 45% marks or qualified 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with 45% marks, can also participate in the AP B.Arch counselling registration process. Once the counselling registration is completed successfully, the candidates should complete the certificate verification between September 29 to October 1, 2025.
