16th Convocation 2025 - Registration & Instructions for Graduands - The 16th Convocation will be held on 20th September 2025 in MGR Auditorium. All Graduands are requested to register through the 16th Convocation registration link on or before 13th September 2025. Spot registration is not allowed. A maximum of 2 persons (preferably parents) can accompany the Graduands. Parents will be seated in designated areas. Graduands must wear formal attire and collect robes, food tokens, and mementos from the registration counter. They should assemble at 9:30 am for the Graduands Procession and maintain silence throughout the ceremony. Mobile phones must be switched off, and photography is banned inside the auditorium. Convocation gowns can be collected at the registration desk by depositing Rs.600, of which Rs.500 will be refunded upon return of the gowns. Specific instructions for Ph.D. awardees and rank holders are provided, including registration links and assembly times.
In fond memory of our Founder & Chairman Dr. K. C. G. Verghese and for the yeomen services he had rendered to the Society, a Public Charitable Foundation has been created in his name. It is proposed to offer financial aid to meritorious and deserving students towards their education and medical relief to the poor. HITS adopted two schools, one from Thiruporur and the second from Puzhuthivakkam. The top scorers in plus two from these two schools are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. Scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from weaker sections, especially to the scholars from the local village (Padur). The management is also offering the scholarship to the wards of HITS employees.

To promote research and attract Full time Research Scholars, Hindustan University has instituted Hindustan Teaching Research Fellowships (HTRF) for eligible candidates. The fellowships are available for Full time Research Scholars registered for Ph.D., M.Phil. and M.S. by Research.Criteria for selection: The student who has performed & achieved accolades at the National, Inter-University and State Levels in all disciplines can apply in the month of April every year along with his/her Merit Certificates.
