The NIRF medical ranking 2025 has been announced by the Ministry of Education authorities every year. Some of the top colleges are expected to secure the top 10 list, such as AIIMS Delhi, PGIMER Chandigarh, CMC Vellore, etc.

The NIRF Medical Ranking 2025 List has been released by the Ministry of Education on September 4, 2025. According to the list, AIIMS Delhi has been placed at the 1st position, followed by PGIMER Chandigarh at the 2nd, and CMC Vellore at the 3rd position for MBBS. For BDS, AIIM Delhi, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, and Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth have been placed in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, respectively.
Several deciding factors, including teaching and learning resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception, determine the NIRF Medical Ranking 2025. This year, a new technique has been introduced for ranking these colleges that features a negative score for those that do not meet the standard criteria of evaluation. The MoE has announced a new change in the way the NIRF Medical Ranking 2025 list is prepared. All medical institutes will be placed in the list based on their overall student performance, infrastructure, faculty, and other criteria. A negative score will be awarded to the institutes that fail to adhere to the standard criteria of evaluation. The negative marking has been introduced to encourage these colleges to amp up their overall performance and focus more on academic developments in the future. The negative scores will be followed up on in the coming years, in the same manner. Negative scores will be added up for the institutes that consecutively fail to gain a positive rank in the NIRF Medical Ranking.
