KCET Option Entry 2025 Begins: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) officially started the KCET 2025 option entry process on July 8, 2025. This phase is exclusively for candidates who have cleared the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 and completed their document verification, including obtaining the verification slip. The option entry portal is now active on the official KEA website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, where eligible candidates can login using their credentials, i.e. application number and option entry cet number, to submit their preferences for colleges and courses across engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, architecture, and veterinary streams. Login can also be done via QR scanning.

The release of the final seat matrix happened on July 5, 2025, 3 days before the opening of options entry. The final seat matrix mentions over 77,000 engineering seats and more than 3,300 agriculture seats available for the first round. Candidates can review the seat matrix for various quotas, including general, Kalyana Karnataka, and special categories, which aids in making informed decisions about their preferences. The option entry process allows candidates to list as many choices as they wish, in order of priority, and to modify, rearrange, or delete their options until the deadline.

After the option entry period, KEA will publish a mock allotment list. This helps candidates understand the likely outcome of their choices and provides an opportunity to adjust preferences before the final seat allotment.
