JCECE B.Tech Round 2 Choice Filling 2025 Starts Today: Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will begin the JCECE B.Tech Round 2 Choice Filling 2025 from today, i.e. July 13, and the last date for the choice filling is July 17 for round 2 seat allotment. Release date for round 2 seat allocation is July 21, 2025, preceded by editing of choices on July 18, 2025. Candidates who have been allotted a seat in JCECE B.Tech Round 1 are eligible to participate in Round 2 choice filling, but there are specific conditions to follow. If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted in Round 1 and completes the reporting, document verification, and payment of admission fees at the allotted institute, their admission is considered finalised. Such candidates are generally not allowed to participate in Round 2 seat allotment.
However, if a candidate is not satisfied with their Round 1 allotment and seeks a better option, they must opt for upgradation (i.e., either the Float or Slide option). By opting for upgradation, the candidate’s seat is retained provisionally, and they become eligible to fill choices for Round 2. During the Round 2 choice filling window, such candidates can modify their preferences for colleges and branches. If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the previous allotment is automatically cancelled; otherwise, the original seat is retained. Candidates who do not report or pay the admission fee after Round 1 forfeit their seat and can participate in Round 2 as fresh candidates, subject to seat availability.
JCECE B.Tech Round 2 Choice Filling 2025: Can Round 1 seat allotted candidates participate?
Yes, candidates allotted a seat in JCECE B.Tech Round 1 can participate in Round 2 choice filling if they select the float or slide option during Round 1 seat allotment. The float option allows candidates to be considered for higher-preference choices in subsequent rounds, while the slide option is for upgrading within the same institute. Candidates who choose the freeze option (finalising their seat) are not eligible for further rounds.Keep visiting CollegeDekho for the latest Education News on entrance exams, board exams and admissions.
