GATE 2026 Registration Postponed: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, has postponed the GATE 2026 registration, which will begin on August 28, 2025 , instead of August 25, 2025. Consequently, the authority has also revised the dates of other events of the GATE 2026 exam. As per the schedule, the GATE registration process 2026 without the late fee is September 28, 2025. Post that, the authority can complete the GATE registration process 2025 with a late fee by October 9, 2025. To participate in the GATE 2025 registration process, the candidates should visit the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in . Unless the candidates complete the GATE registration process successfully, the authority will not issue an admit card for them.

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates from India and outside the country can participate in the GATE registration process
- Candidates who have completed their graduation in Engineering/Technology or have completed a Master’s degree in any relevant science subject can participate in the GATE 2026 exam
- If the candidates are in the pre-final or final year of the qualifying degree, they can participate in the GATE 2026 registration process. The same eligibility criteria will be applied to the candidates who are outside of India
- No age limit is required to apply for the GATE 2026 exam. Also, there is no limitation in attempting the GATE exam
