CSAB Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 Release Date: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) is scheduled to release the Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 on August 9. The seat allotment will be published by 5 PM on the official CSAB portal- csab.nic.in, will cover all remaining vacant seats from the JoSAA rounds. Aspirants will be able to check their allotment status by logging into the official portal with their JEE Main application number and password. The seat allotment result will be published based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, category and seat availability.
After the release of seat allotment, aspirants will be required to do the self-online reporting, fee payment, and uploading of documents from
August 9 to 12, 2025.
After the result is out, candidates will be required to choose a willingness option- Freeze, Float, Slide, Surrender, or Withdraw, depending on their priorities.

CSAB Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025: List of options available after seat allotment
The candidates will find two options during the CSAB seat allotment process - Freeze and Float. In this section, we will try to define these terms in very simple words -
- Freeze - Candidates satisfied with the allocation of seats and wish to go ahead with the subsequent admission process can choose the Freeze option. These candidates can participate further in any counselling rounds
- Float - Candidates not satisfied with the allocation of seats and wish to participate in the subsequent rounds of the seat allotment process must choose the Float option
- Slide – Candidates who want to upgrade within the same institute
