Great Academic Environment with Helpful Faculty and Modern Facilities

Overall: I completed my BA (Hons.) in History from Lovely Professional University, and I can honestly say it was a very fulfilling three-year journey. The course structure was well-planned and covered everything from ancient civilizations to modern Indian history, with plenty of opportunities for presentations, assignments, and interactive discussions. What I really liked was the exposure guest lectures, seminars, and even heritage field visits helped bring history to life beyond the classroom. The faculty was supportive and genuinely encouraged us to think critically and dig deeper into the subject. Along with academics, the campus experience at LPU was vibrant and diverse. Whether it was cultural events, clubs, or hostel life there was always something happening. If you're someone who wants to study humanities in a modern, well-equipped campus while being part of a large and diverse student community, LPU is definitely a great choice.

Placement: Though History is not a placement-heavy field like engineering or management, LPU still provided great career guidance. Many students in my batch aimed for UPSC, teaching, or higher studies. The university arranged workshops, soft skill training, and guest talks with professionals from academics and the civil sector. Some students also got internships with NGOs and cultural organizations through the career cell. If you’re proactive, LPU offers solid support even in humanities streams.

Infrastructure: LPU has a massive, tech-enabled campus. Even as a humanities student, we had access to smart classrooms, digital boards, and a huge Central Library with tons of books, journals, and online archives for history students. The seminar halls and discussion rooms were frequently used for group assignments and guest sessions. I appreciated that even non-tech programs like ours got equal access to great academic spaces.

Faculty: The faculty in the School of Humanities at LPU are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. My professors in the History department always motivated us to ask questions and think critically. They gave personal feedback on assignments and were approachable after class too. The curriculum wasn’t just rote learning it focused on interpretation, debate, and analysis, which helped us develop strong academic foundations.

Hostel: I stayed in the hostel during my graduation, and my experience was smooth. My 2-seater non-AC room was spacious and cleaned regularly. There was 24x7 security, a decent mess menu, and access to laundry and common rooms. What made hostel life fun was the community students from every corner of India and abroad, all under one roof. It truly felt like a mini world inside the campus.
