Overall: The fee mentioned here is wrong. The recently revised their fee Its Rs 80,000 per year and it can also change again. The fee is high compared to the facility. They used to publicly humiliate all scholars . Good place to build a thick skin to humiliation. In my case the worst part was supervisor. He didn't teach me any skill or knowledge. Initially he gave me some ideas regarding research topic, but they were dead end. So he told me to come up with ideas. But my ideas were not accepted by the guide . He wanted a strong topic in the core area. He repeatedly rejected my ideas claiming they are deviating to marketing or HR or other areas. . My research interest area has a marketing flair. So completely avoiding marketing was difficult. Soon he got another scholar and he started asking me to discontinue and go. Every meeting was him advising me to discontinue and go. I have audio recording of him simply wasting time during research meetings. They refused to change guide, so eventually decided to transfer to another university. Everything depends on guide and area. Marketing and HR is a good area to do research. Choose a guide who is young. Older guides don't like new ideas. They often don't have any original research themselves and learning under them is minimal. Before joining research on the available guides and who is suitable. Also my guide insists on meeting personally. As a part time scholar with a full time job, I find it difficult to come and wait for him for hours.
Placement: no placement is provided by universities for Phd. Christ has good brand reputation. If you know the research and are able to do independently you will get good colleges.
Infrastructure: There is no special facility for part time scholars. Some supervisors don't give the option of online progress meetings. Asked me to quit when I informed them I was going to transfer to another city. They have also changed their name to School of Business and Management from Institute of Management.
Faculty: I attended a workshop, Professor from VIT, bhopal conducted the session. The way she spoke about introducing her scholar to AI tools and guiding her with research, I can never expect from my supervisor. Christ faculties are extremely busy and don't have time to meet their scholars. My supervisor Sree*****n VR only has few years left and does not have any new research ideas and also doesn't teach anything new. My learning under him was zero.
Hostel: They have limited seats and food is not included in the hostel fees. Very strict. If you don't get in trouble you will be fine. Fines are imposed for everything.
