Uttar Pradesh B.Pharma Lateral Entry Selection Process
The B.Pharm lateral entry selection process in Uttar Pradesh is organised by AKTU. Admission depends fully on your CUET (UG) 2025 score, so merit is the main factor. After the exam, all steps happen online, from counselling to seat allotment.
- Merit List Preparation: Once the CUET (UG) 2025 exam is finished, UPTAC prepares a merit list for all candidates based on their scores.
- Online Document Verification: Next, officials check your uploaded documents to confirm you meet all the required rules and qualifications.
- Choice Filling & Locking: If your documents are approved you can pick your preferred colleges online. Be sure to lock your choices before the deadline to be included in the seat allotment.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are assigned by your rank in the merit list your chosen colleges and seat availability in each category.
- Seat Confirmation: If you get a seat you need to confirm it by paying the seat confirmation fee online within the given time.
- Physical Reporting: Finally, visit your allotted college in person with your original documents. The staff will check your papers and complete the admission steps to finalise your seat.
UP B.Pharma Lateral Entry Tie Breaking Criteria
Sometimes, two or more candidates end up with the same score in the admission process. To decide who gets the higher rank, UPTAC uses a set of tie-breaking rules. First, they look at your marks in the Diploma in Pharmacy exam. Whoever has a higher percentage will get the better rank. If the marks are also the same, the older candidate gets the higher spot. If there is still a tie, the person who registered earlier for CUET (the one with the lower application number) will be ranked above the others.
UP B.Pharma Lateral Entry Counselling Process
The final step is UPTAC counselling, which connects your CUET score to a real college seat. This whole process is done online and takes place over a few rounds. You will start by registering, then pick your preferred colleges and finally get your seat allotment. AKTU manages this process so that everything stays clear and fair for all students.
- Registration, Fee Payment & Document Upload: First, register on the official UPTAC website using your CUET (UG) application number and password. Fill in all the details asked and pay the one-time counselling fee. This fee is not refundable. Then, upload clear, scanned copies of all your required documents for verification.
- Online Document Verification: After you upload your documents, the UPTAC team checks them to see if everything matches the rules. You can check your verification status by logging into your account. If there is a problem with any document, you will be notified and should fix the issue quickly so you can move forward.
- Online Choice Filling & Locking: Once your documents are approved, choose your preferred colleges and courses from the list. Always put your top choices first. Be sure to lock your choices before the deadline; otherwise, you might miss your chance in that round.
- Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on your merit rank, the choices you selected and seat availability in each category. Results are posted online, and you can check your allotted seat by logging into your account.
- Seat Acceptance & Confirmation: If you are allotted a seat, you must choose between Freeze or Float. Freeze means you accept the seat and do not want to try for another college in the next round. Float means you accept your current seat but want to see if you get a better seat in future rounds. For both options, pay the seat acceptance fee online to confirm your spot.
- Physical Reporting: If you decide to freeze your seat, download your provisional allotment letter from the website. Then, visit the allotted college on the given date with your original documents. The college staff will check your papers. You must also pay the remaining tuition fee to complete your admission process.
