Factors Determining TS ECET Qualifying Marks 2025

You must know that the qualifying marks for Telangana State ECET 2025 are calculated based on the total scores allotted to the exam paper. To calculate scores accurately, students must follow the TS ECET 2025 Marking Scheme, which is as follows:

  • Students are rewarded +1 mark for each correct answer

  • No marks are deducted for incorrect answers

Thus, students can simply sum up all the correct answers and the total obtained will be considered the final marks. The maximum mark allocated is 200. Ideally, a score above 140+ should be good enough for B. Tech admissions in the best engineering colleges. Or else, marks between 80 to 130 is also fine to take admission to various colleges.

TS ECET 2025 Tie Breaking Criteria

In certain instances, where two or more students end up scoring the same marks in the TS ECET 2025 exam, a few rules are implemented to break the tie and determine the students’ ranks. These rules are followed in order of preference:

  • The student scoring higher marks in the Engineering section will be scored higher

  • If a tie persists, the student with higher marks in Mathematics will be scored higher

  • If a tie still persists, marks obtained in Physics will be considered and those scoring higher marks in the subject will be preferred.

  • Lastly, if a tie persists due to students having the same marks in all four subjects, then their age will be taken into account. Older students will be assigned higher marks and ranks.

Dear Student,

To pursue B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering at Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies, a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent is mandatory. Without Mathematics, you shall not be considered eligible for a B.Tech degree. However, with PCB combination, you can explore alternative programs, such as B.Sc. in allied medical or life sciences. We hope this answers your query. Good luck!

Dear Student,

With 80 percentile in JEE Mains, the chances of securing admission in the top IITs/ NITs are sleek, but there are many mid-ranked or lower-ranked NIT colleges accepting 80 percentile in JEE Mains, such as NIT Raipur, NIT Agartala, NIT Durgapur. Private engineering colleges like BIT Ranchi, GITAM Hyderabad may also be good options for you. Since you also have secured 30000 rank in WBJEE, which is decent, you can explore options, such as Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata, or Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. These institutes offer branches such as CSE (Data …
