KCET Round 2 Counselling 2025: The round 2 counselling for the KCET 2025 is conducted to provide admissions to the students who were not allotted seats in the previous round, or who wish to upgrade their allotted seats. KCET round 2 counselling dates were announced by the conducting authority, KEA. As per the official schedule, KCET round 2 counselling began with the options entry process. KEA extended the deadline for second round option entry. The revised dates for KCET option entry round 2 were August 21 to 26. Following the options entry round, KCET seat allotment 2025 was published at karnataka.kea.nic.in on August 29. KCET Round 2 Option Entry 2025

Option entry for KCET round 2 allows students to select their priorities for colleges and streams in KCET participating colleges. KCET round 2 option entry 2025 dates were August 21 to 26. Shortly after, the seat allotment for round 2 was released based on the choices selected in the option entry round.

How to Do KCET Option Entry 2025?

KCET option entry is done to select colleges and streams of their choice during the counselling process. For the KCET round 2 option, you are first required to log in to the official portal using the following steps:

1. Visit the official website- cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, and click on the admissions tab and select UGCET.

2. Now, locate and select the Option Entry link and click on Log In.

3. Log in using Scan QR or CET application number (can be found in the verification slip)

4. After logging in through QR or CET number, a new page will be displayed on the screen. Scan the QR code using your mobile phone.

5. After successfully verifying the QR code, the website will redirect you to the Option Entry Login. Here, you are required to verify via OTP  that is sent to your registered mobile number.

6. Finally, you are required to verify yourself using a picture that you can click using your mobile phone.

7. Following the verification process, you will be redirected to the payment portal.

8. Pay the fee of INR 750 (non-refundable) before proceeding to the KCET option entry process. Once the payment is done, save and take a printout.

9. The option entry link will be activated following the payment.

Steps to Follow for KCET Option Entry Process

Once the verification process and payment of the counselling fee are paid, you can now move on to the option entry process. You can follow the steps mentioned below to successfully complete the KCET option entry process.

1. After the fee payment, the Option Entry link will be activated on the KEA portal; click on the link and accept the terms and conditions mentioned.

2. The option entry process for KCET can be done in two ways: Course wise or College-wise.

3. Select the discipline, college and courses. To check the availability of colleges and courses and their codes, select the tab available on the top right corner - (colleges and courses).

4. In the colleges and courses section, you can find complete codes for courses and colleges available for KCET counselling 2025.

5. You are advised to go through the codes and double check your choices before choice filling.

6. Once you select a course in the option entry process, a list of all colleges offering that particular course will be displayed on the screen, along with the fee structure.

7. Once you select the college option, a drop-down menu of colleges, the option will display the list of all the courses offered in that particular college.

8. Now, you can select your preferences and arrange them according to your priority by numbering them.

9. Make sure your choices are in the order of your preferences and save the options. Once done, download and take the printout for future reference.

KCET Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025

KCET seat allotment 2025 result round 2 is determined according to the choices filled by students. KCET round 2 seat allotment 2025 result informs students of the colleges and streams they are allocated. Students will need to accept and confirm the seat after the round 2 seat allotment result of KCET and report to the colleges as assigned prior to the deadline.

Fee Payment and Reporting After KCET Round 2 Seat Allotment 2025

After the KCET Round 2 allotment, if you're satisfied with your allotment, you will be required to pay the acceptance fee and report to the college by the deadline. The KCET provides the detailed fee structure for different categories of colleges participating in the counselling. The payable fee amount will vary based on your category. The exam authority will soon release the schedule for making the fee payments and reporting to the allotted colleges. The KEA will allow various payment methods for submitting your fee, including Debit/Credit Cards, Net Banking, or UPI.
