- You need to visit the online admissions portal, eims.iitbbs.ac.in/Admission/.
- Registration is important for filling out the application form.
- You can complete the registration using your NCET roll number, percentage of marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination, social category, email address and date of birth.

The IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP admission 2025 includes 4 rounds of counselling after the completion of the application process. The students will be allotted seats based on their NCET total marks and preference after verifying the minimum eligibility criteria.
If multiple students have selected the same major in IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP admission (in order of preference) and have equal NCET total marks, the candidate with more marks in ‘Teaching Aptitude’ will be given higher preference. If the tie continues, the candidate with higher marks in the ‘General Test’ will be given a higher preference. If the tie continues, the older candidate will be given higher preference. If the tie continues, both candidates will be allocated the same major.
Those who will receive an offer in one of the rounds of counselling are required to log into the admissions portal, eims.iitbbs.ac.in/Admission/ within the given time and select one of the 3 options:
- Accept and Freeze
- Accept with Upgrade
- Reject and Quit
The detailed counselling process for IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP admission 2025 has been discussed below:
- If you choose ‘Accept and Freeze’, you have accepted the seat offered to you and you do not want to upgrade to better options in the next rounds of counselling.
- Selecting ‘Accept with Upgrade’ means you have temporarily accepted the seat offered to you, but you want to upgrade to better options in the next counselling rounds.
- This is the last option, ‘Reject and Quit’, which means you have rejected the offered seat and will not participate in the IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP admission 2025 any more. The seat that was offered to you will also be cancelled, and you cannot participate in the counselling rounds further.
- However, those who do not select any one of the above three options at the end of any counselling round will have their candidature automatically rejected.
The applicants selecting "Accept and Freeze” or “Accept with Upgrade" will be redirected to an online payment portal where they have to pay the seat booking fee before the last date, based on their category.
- The applicants whose names appear in the IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP 1st Admission list need to log in to the candidate portal and select one of the options: Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade or Reject and Quit before the last date.
- When the first round of admission is over, the 2nd Admission List will be released if there are vacant seats. If you have selected ‘Accept and Upgrade’ in the previous round, you need to log in to the website and view your current seat allocation.
- This process will follow till the 4th round of counselling.
- The applicants who are offered seats and have accepted them can select ‘Cancel’ by logging into the admission portal and choosing ‘Withdraw.’ This option will be available till the end of the third round of counselling.
- The seat booking fee will be refunded by the institute after deducting a processing fee of Rs 1,000. However, you must know that after the third round, the option to withdraw will no longer be available, nor will the seat booking fee be refunded.
- The offer letters can be downloaded through the candidate portal after the final round of admissions.
- The candidates who are offered a seat during the IIT Bhubaneswar ITEP counselling should report to the college along with the required documents as mentioned in their offer letter.
