CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025: The Central Seat Allocation Board conducts three CSAB special rounds after the JoSAA rounds. The CSAB special round 1 seat allotment result has been released on August 09, 2025. You can check the seat allotment result on the official website or directly access the link from this page. Decision making or choice selection (Freeze/ Float/ Slide/ Exit/ Surrender/ Withdraw) can be done till August 12, 2025. The CSAB rounds are conducted to fill the vacant seats in the NIT+ System. The CSAB special round 1 seat allotment is done on the basis of the JEE Main scores and the choices filled by the students. You can register for the CSAB seat allocation on the admissions.nic.in portal. In case you have already registered for the JoSAA, you can use the JoSAA password or the JEE Main password to register and complete the process. CSAB Seat Allotment Fees 2025

CSAB seat allotment is released after the closure of choice filling. After checking the CSAB seat allotment result through the CSAB portal, the candidates will have to accept the seat allotment, pay the requisite seat acceptance fee and confirm the admission. CSAB Special Round 1 2025 Seat Allotment Process

To participate in the CSAB 2025 special round 1 seat allotment, the candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Registration: Visit the official website of CSAB and click on the registration link. Register for CSAB 2025 special round using your JEE Main application number and password. Upload the documents as specified by the concerned authorities.
  • Fee Payment: Pay the necessary fee through online mode only (SBI MOPS payment gateway).
  • Filling and Locking of Choices: Choose your desired institutes/colleges and courses in order of preference. After the choices are confirmed, lock the choices and submit them.
  • Seat Allotment Declaration: You will be allotted seats based upon your JEE Main merit, selected preferences, and availability of seats.The seat allotment result of CSAB 2025 special round will be released in online mode. You will have the option to either freeze, float, or cancel your allotted seat.
  • Seat Allotment Confirmation: Confirm your allotted seats by paying the requisite admission fees.
  • Online Reporting: Complete the online reporting and confirm your allotted seats by using your JEE Main 2025 credentials and upload the required documents.
  • Physical Reporting: Finally, visit your allotted institute directly. It should be kept in mind that the reporting should be done within the time specified by the authorities.

CSAB Seat Acceptance & Reporting Process after Round 1 2025

The seat acceptance and reporting process after the CSAB Round 1 has been elaborated below. For accepting the allotted seat, any of the following options should be chosen –

  • Freeze - If you are satisfied with the seat allotment and do not want to participate in Round 2, ‘Freeze’ is the option which should be chosen.
  • Slide - If you are looking for a better course allotment within the same institute, ‘Slide’ is the option which has to be chosen. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if you get a better allotment.
  • Float - If you are looking for a better institute allotment, ‘Float’ is the option that has to be selected. In such cases, the allotted seat will be accepted and will be cancelled only if you get a better allotment in the second round.
  • Surrender and Participate in Special Round 2 - If you want to ‘Reject’ the seat allotted in Round 1 and want to participate in Round 2 then you can choose this option. In such cases, you will not be allowed to retain the seat allocated in Round 1.
  • Surrender and Not Participate in Special Round 2 - If you do not want to proceed with counselling, you can surrender the alloted seat and withdraw from the counselling process.

CSAB Participation and Seat Acceptance Fee Refund Rules 2025

The CSAB refund rules 2025 for participation fee and seat acceptance fee have been mentioned below.

  • Refund Rule 1 - If you choose to withdraw the allotted seat in JoSAA counselling and do not wish to participate in the special round then you are entitled for a refund of the seat allotment fee with a deduction of Rs. 2,000.
  • Refund Rule 2 - If you are not allotted a seat in the special round, then you will be entitled to a refund of the participation fee with a deduction of Rs. 2,000.
  • Refund Rule 3 - If you are not allocated a seat in CSAB Round 1 and want to withdraw from Round 2 counselling then you are entitled to a refund of participation fee with a deduction of Rs. 2,000
  • Refund Rule 4 - If you have been allocated a seat in Special Round 1 and failed to report to the institute within the specified deadline, then you will be entitled to the refund of seat acceptance fee with a deduction of Rs. 6,000.
  • Refund Rule 5 - If you opt for surrender of seat and participate in Round 2 and are not allocated a seat in Round 2 then you will be entitled to a refund of seat acceptance/ participation fee with a deduction of Rs. 6,000
  • Refund Rule 6 - If you have been allotted a seat in Special Round-I and your seat gets cancelled due to ineligibility or in-appropriate documents noticed during document verification, then your participation fee and seat acceptance fee (if paid) will be refunded after deducting Rs 6,000.

Note: Candidates who fail to join or report to the allotted institute after CSAB special round 2 will not be refunded their seat acceptance or participation fee.

Documents Required for CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025

The important documents required for CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 have been listed below.

  • Class 10 MarkSheet/Certificate or Aadhaar Card or Birth Certificate (for verification of Date of Birth).
  • Class 12 MarkSheet and Certificate (Qualifying Examination).
  • Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable
  1. In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2025.
  2. Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) issued by the Maharashtra State must be validated by the Social Welfare department (in case of SC and OBC-NCL category) and the Tribal Welfare department (in case of ST category) of the Maharashtra Government.
  3. ST certificates from Tamil Nadu State must be issued by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer.
  • Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable
  • Admit card of JEE Main 2025
  • Original Certificate for persons having less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing, if applicable, in the format provided in the Information Bulletin of JEE (Main) 2025, issued by the competent authorities listed in the Information Bulletin of JEE (Main) 2025.
  • Medical Certificate (in specified format available on JoSAA-2025/CSAB-2025 website)
  • Crossed/cancelled Bank Cheque copy/Image of stamped page of Bank Passbook with account details.
  • Passport/Citizenship certificate, if applicable
  • OCI certificate/ PIO card, if applicable.

Note: If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi, then English/Hindi version/translation of such certificates, duly certified by the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the graduating Institute, will be required during the document verification process.
